As with any small nonprofit, we all did a lot of everything... I worked at a shelter for asylum seekers called Freedom House and was responsible for conducting intakes, donations, food schedule, house rules, weekly meetings, finding volunteers to work with the residents, making doctor appointments, organizing the transportation schedule, and stepping in for anything else that was needed.
