Nominations & Applications

The Rewards Of Nominating Leaders

Linda Hunt and Colleague Sarah WanlessThe Krista Colleague Cohort program is modeled somewhat after the Fulbright Scholars or Woodrow Wilson Fellows in academia, yet our focus is to elevate a sense of service to the common good.

Each year, a "Class of Krista Colleagues" is selected through nominations from university professors, church or civic leaders. Qualifying nominees are invited to apply and finalists selected for interviews.

Krista Colleague joins our ecumenical Christian mentoring community and receives a $1000 Service and Leadership Development Grant. The Grant must be used to explore vocational interests and develop leadership and service skills while on assignment or shortly thereafter; these opportunities are usually not possible while living on subsistence wages. Each Krista Colleague also commits to helping mentor future Krista Colleagues through involvement at retreats and conferences planned by the Foundation. Our mentoring community and leadership development model is explained in more detail under the Krista Colleague program section of this website.
