L'Arche Tahoma Hope Community
Amanda recently finished up a year of placement with JVC-Northwest at Partners in Community Living, Bernadette Place in Spokane. She is currently serving with L’Arche Tahoma Hope in Tacoma as the farm worker assistant. She works with adults who have developmental disabilities by finding farm tasks that fit their gifts. She will also attend several farmers markets and help sell produce from the farm.

Jesuit Volunteer Corps NW
Claire will be working with Proyecto UNICA/Catholic Charities as the Transitional Services Coordinator. She will help provide direct services to victims affected by domestic and sexual violence. Proyecto UNICA is a culturally specific agency that provides bilingual services to the Latino community, including crisis-intervention, information and referral, advocacy and support.

UCC Partners in Service
At Plymouth House of Healing, I am a live-in companion. It is transitional housing for adults who have experienced homelessness and live with mental illness. One member of the companion team is on duty at all times, to be present for the residents. This includes cooking dinner, as the whole house eats together five nights a week.

Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos
At Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos, an organization that runs 9 orphanages in Central America, I will be the administrator at the surgery center located at the Honduras orphanage. We will be doing general surgeries as well as several brigades. Also I will have the chance to mentor a group of orphans.
