Imagine a world filled with compassionate, effective young leaders who appreciate diversity, engage complexity, and bridge differences. Now imagine their impact on our thorniest problems.
The Krista Foundation for Global Citizenship nurtures these leaders. We focus on 20-somethings committed to a year or more of volunteer service, walking with them as they tackle tough challenges, face human suffering, and question faith, identity and vocation.
Our proven model, the Service Journey, equips them for effective service and helps them unpack and apply what they learn. In our peer mentoring community, they meet others willing to stand in hard places, embrace a radical service ethic, and meet difficult challenges.
This spiritual and leadership formation equips them for long-term impact in the workplace, community, and world.
“I speak as one of many people who has been formed (reformed, transformed, informed) by the Krista Foundation's community. The community has long offered a reliable network of spiritual, critical, revolutionary spirits… These are people who keep me attended to center, who speak truth to power in their many different social locations and vocations, who transform their respective communities with love, inclusion, and kindness."
