Join the movement to help transform service experiences into lives of service leadership.

KFGC - Ripples to Waves

The Krista Foundation for Global Citizenship has come to a crossroads. During the first fifteen years of our existence we transformed the meaning and purpose of a volunteer year for over 300 young leaders and their families. The ripples that these savvy, resilient and inter-culturally competent young people are making are significant.

Now it’s time to make waves. Our vision for the next three to five years positions us to impact hundreds more young people—and begin to reshape volunteer best practices on a national level. Rolling out our faith-based Service Journey model to partner organizations will ensure more and more young leaders are equipped with 21st century citizen skills. Not just volunteers but their organizations and the millions they serve will be changed. We invite you to join us in deepening the legacy of Krista Hunt Ausland by leveraging the wisdom and practices developed in our first nearly two decades  of work to adapt and strengthen the national service model.

As we work to expand the impact of our Colleagues and our Partners, we wish the thank the following for their critical financial support!

How We Do It - The Krista Difference

Turning Ripples into Waves.

The Krista Foundation for Global Citizenship creates lasting change by equipping volunteers with best practices for effective service and meaningful post-service re-integration. Instead of sending volunteers, our proven programs focus on developing service leadership skills in young adults as they serve through faith-based and other non-profit agencies and discern what service means to their lives and faith. Our model focuses on assets, equity and mutual transformation. Through our Krista Colleague Program and our Partner programs, we have helped mentor young leaders who are are shaping communities, institutions and policies that affect the quality and equity of life in the Northwest and beyond.
